Linus is on a mission to make studying for the SAT fun, effective, and affordable for all students.
Over 2 million students take the SAT each and every year - the most important test of a young person’s life. But outcomes are highly inequitable, with affluent students able to afford high-priced private tutors while others have to rely on borrowed and out-of-date textbooks. 
Linus is determined to close this equity gap and bring effective test prep into the 21st century.

🌱 Stage
Linus is a seed-stage company with a v1 product live at https://linusprep.com. We are bringing on a Head of Growth who will be the first growth hire and who will own all of our growth channels in both B2C and B2B.
Linus is well-funded by Owl Ventures, the world’s largest edtech investor with $2B AUM.
🤝 Founders & Team
Linus was founded by serial entrepreneurs Niko Vuori and Cory Johnson. They have raised more than $20M in funding from top-tier investors across the companies they have founded and have a successful exit with Rocket Games in 2016. They are joined by a team of early-stage enthusiasts who love going from zero to one (and then blasting way beyond 🚀).

We’re looking for a Head of Growth to join the core leadership team, lead all of Linus’s growth, and help millions of young people gain access to a better life. Linus’s Head of Growth will work closely with the CEO to establish strategy, drive adoption through B2C and B2B channels and implement paid and organic growth initiatives.

📋 What you’ll work on
- Own the growth engine end-to-end and build a world-class marketing team.
- Build & scale paid channels, including Google SEM, Meta, and TikTok
- Build & scale lifecycle marketing, including email, SMS and WhatsApp
- Build out social, including YouTube, TikTok, Discord, Snapchat, Insta and Reddit
- Build & scale B2B channels, including schools, counselors, tutors and nonprofits
- Onboard, manage and grow a network of test prep & education influencers
- Onboard and manage agency & contractor relationships
- Work closely with Product to integrate our marketing efforts holistically
- Work with the CEO to build out the Linus brand into a household name (IRL events, campus ambassadors, national competitions, new verticals, merch etc)
- Establish and track key marketing metrics to guide us as we grow
💪 You are
- Experienced but hungry: you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in frontline B2C/B2B subscription growth marketing, but you are eager to go to the next level
- Data-informed but gutsy: you love to leverage, manipulate and extract insights from data to inform your decision-making, but you take pride in your well-developed instincts
- Mission-driven but practical: you yearn to build a generational company that will positively impact millions of lives, but you recognize that Rome wasn’t built in a day
- Results-oriented but collaborative: you take initiative and drive straight to outcomes, but you love being on a team that takes shared ownership of its successes and failures
- Gravitas personified but humble: you command attention and inspire confidence in any room, but you remain approachable, authentic, and connected to those around you
- Fast but deliberate: you bias towards action, but you do so intentionally, with a specific hypothesis in mind that can drive a step function change up and to the right
