Linus is on a mission to make studying for the SAT fun, free, and effective for all students.
Over 2 million students take the SAT each and every year - the most important test of a young person’s life. But outcomes are highly inequitable, with affluent students able to afford high-priced private tutors while others have to rely on borrowed and out-of-date textbooks.
Linus is determined to close this equity gap and bring effective test prep into the 21st century.

Linus is a seed-stage company with a v1 product live at https://linusprep.com. We are bringing on a Head of Content, employee #9, who will be the first hire in this critical function and who will own all of our content initiatives.

Linus was founded by serial entrepreneurs Niko Vuori and Cory Johnson. They have raised more than $20M in funding from top-tier investors across the companies they have founded and have a successful exit with Rocket Games in 2016. They are joined by a team of early-stage enthusiasts who love going from zero to one (and then blasting way beyond 🚀).
🌈 Opportunity
We’re looking for a Head of Content to join our leadership team and take ownership of Linus’s SAT prep content strategy and execution. Our Head of Content will work closely with the CEO to ensure the materials we produce mirror the rigor and style of the College Board and don’t just help students score higher, but also spark genuine learning and confidence.

📋 What you’ll work on
Set the Content Vision: Own our SAT content roadmap. Define standards and processes ensuring all content meets SAT standards.
Build & Lead the Content Team: Recruit and mentor experts, writers, and editors who share our passion for learning and equity.
Elevate Our Materials: Develop and refine SAT questions, passages, and prompts to ensure materials are bias-free, culturally responsive, and accessible.
Innovate in Format & Delivery: Develop innovative, game-like formats. Experiment with multimedia, tools, and technologies that go beyond traditional textbooks.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Take a data-driven approach, analyzing performance and feedback to refine materials.
Collaborate Across Teams: Seamlessly integrate content into new features, campaigns, social channels, and B2B partnerships.

A Seasoned Educational Content Creator: You bring 5+ years of experience in educational content development—preferably with a focus on the SAT.
A Master of Rigor & Style: You know the SAT inside out. You know College Board standards and can produce (or guide others to produce) top-notch questions, explanations, and practice sets that challenge students and reflect the test’s evolution.
A Strategic Thinker: You excel at building a content strategy, setting priorities, and using metrics to inform decision-making. You know how to scale a content operation without sacrificing quality.
Mission-Driven: You care about student outcomes and believe in the power of equitable education. You want to have an impact on millions of young people’s lives.
Adaptable & Curious: You’re ready to evolve, learn, and pivot as we grow. You relish the scrappy, dynamic nature of an early-stage startup.
